Feb 11, 2011 04:20 PM

So you want to add something different to your dancing? You want to make it more exciting and give it the WOW factor? Well you've come to the right place to find out how to get started! Whether you do rock n roll, swing, salsa, jive, modern jive, hip hop, ballet, break dance -they all have something in common- Aerials, Lifts and Stunts!

Aerials are great fun for trust building and fitness. They make each dance style a little more entertaining and exciting. I remember when I started out learning, I found it hard to find places to learn. I was hiring out old movies and pausing them on a lift to see how they were done. Well things are a little more advance now and below will give you a good guide on how to get started! Happy flipping!

If you don't have a dance partner, find someone you trust or find someone new and start building up trust

Go to local Aerial Classes. If you don't have any locally you can order Instructional DVD's from ebay or you can purchase an instant download from www.airmotions.net

Watch the dvd/download and take it all in. Maybe even step out the move.

Warm up, stretch and get pumped!

Take a mattress out into the backyard and find a flat surface. Make sure you have plenty of space!

Begin practicing easy lifts before you advance on.

Once you have the lift perfect, you are ready to take it to the DANCE FLOOR!
